Our Beliefs

We believe  the Bible to be the inspired and written Word of God.

We believe  in the Holy Trinity that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit.

We believe  in the rapture of the Church, at Christ’s return.We believe  that through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven of sin.

We believe  that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit; is given to all believers who ask and is essential for personal salvation.

We believe  that Christ provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

We believe  in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live a holy life in the present world.

We believe  in the Victory we have to live a victorious life through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Vision

It is our vision at VDC to create an environment where sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ will transform the lives of all people. To provide hope to the hurting that they may find love, acceptance, help, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement; while empowering individuals to have a closer and more intimate walk with our Savior Jesus Christ until his return.
Our Founders
Apostle Fred Sanders is the founder of the Victory Deliverance Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith where he remains the Chief Apostle. After giving his life to Christ at the age of 24, Bishop accepted his call to the ministry on November 27, 1963. He has served in various capacities having served in ministry for 50 years. He has evangelized and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the radio, television, on college campuses, hospitals, prisons, homes, parks and on the streets across the United States and abroad in Africa and Jamaica.

On April 14, 1973, Apostle established the first Victory Deliverance Church of Christ and in July of 1983, was consecrated Bishop by Apostle William Lee Bonner. He was then appointed the Bishop of Monrovia Liberia West, Africa where he has conducted revivals saving over 150 souls and seeing the Holy Spirit fill many believers.

In 1984, Apostle relocated his family to Columbus, Ohio where he built a church debt free. The Victory Deliverance Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith organization was established in 1992.
Apostle Sanders holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degree in Theology and has trained over 200 ministers. He served in ministry and life with Queen Esther Sanders until her homegoing in 2013. Together, they have five sons, three daughters and seven grandchildren. Many of his children continue to serve in ministry under his love and guidance. Queen Esther accepted Christ into her life not long after graduating from High School and continued her educational pursuits at the Bronx Community College and Queensboro College in New York. She has worked tirelessly alongside Apostle Sanders impacting the lives of men, women and children while lifting up a standard for the Lord.

Queen Esther founded Queen Esther’s Daughters, an outreach ministry that includes counseling, teaching, covering, training, encouraging and loving women from all ethnicities, social backgrounds, age and education. Her love and kindness was often displayed through her tireless efforts to visit the hospitals with mothers in labor; often times being the one to cut the umbilical cord when family or the child’s father was not present. She was the Godly voice of comfort, sound reason and love when daughters needed loving arms to hold them tight. Queen Esther’s legacy lives on in the memory of her ministry. She personified a Queen in every aspect. Her favorite gospel song was “I am so grateful, that I have Christ in my life.”
Our Legacy
Mother Esther L. Sanders went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2013. While Mother Sanders is resting until Christ’s return; she was the First Lady and Mother of Victory Deliverance Church, Columbus and Victory Deliverance Churches of Christ of The Apostolic Faith, Inc. She served as the Missionary Board President, Counselor to Young Women, and President of Esther's Daughters Women's Ministry at Victory Deliverance Church.

Mother Sanders is most remembered for her beauty, love, faithful dedication, gentle touch, open heart and no nonsense attitude. Mother Sanders demonstrated all the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman and inspires many conversations today about her acts of kindness, faithfulness, unlimited forgiveness and witty sense of humor. She illuminated a room by her presence and her smile, which is still felt at VDC today. Mother Sanders was a Godly wife, a mother, grandmother, confidant and faithful friend to those that were privileged to meet her. Even though Mother’s Sanders is not here with us today, we strive to follow in her footsteps and the legacy she left behind; To faithfully serve and demonstrate through actions Christ’s love for all of God’s people.
